Jeremy Lim

Picture
A recipient of the OCBC Local Undergraduate Scholarship, Jeremy graduated with First Class Honours in Flute from the joint degree program between the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal College of Music.

Jeremy studied the flute with Roberto Álvarez and after clinching a 2nd prize in the Open Category of the Singapore Flute Festival Competition in 2017, he now maintains a schedule of teaching the flute in local schools and privately in his home studio. He believes that music-making should fundamentally be jolly and fun.

Passionate about Soviet folk songs, Jeremy has initiated several “Music from the Soviet Era” concerts with his ensemble “The Tango Sextet & Friends”.

He is also the co-founder and Artistic Director of King's Flute Choir, a flute ensemble in Singapore which aims to spread the joy and raise the standards of flute playing in the region.

In his free time, he likes to arrange music and more recently indoor climbing. Soon, his friends will all like climbing too ;)
