In this workshop, you will be guided by award winning Jazz flutist Rit Xu on several significant jazz flute recordings. You will learn things like what is a good "jazz" flute tone, melodic and harmonic developments in jazz improvisation and how flutists can apply certain "jazz" strategies into their own daily practice to further strengthen tonal and technical development. There will be some practical tasks you can try too so bring your flute along!
