HENRIETTE WIE FLAIG
Henriette Wie Flaig studied with Professor Paul Wåhlberg at the Tromsø conservatoire in Norway, with Professor Arife Gülshen Tatu at the Trossingen conservatoire in Germany and with Peter Reijx who played the piccolo in the Philharmonic orchestra in Stuttgart, Germany. She also studied conducting with Professor Volker Rhode.
Over the years, Henriette has gained broad experience as a teacher, flutist and conductor in various music schools and orchestras in both Germany and Norway. She is currently working as a flute teacher and conductor of “Evje wind orchestra”, and often serves as a jury judge for “the Norwegian Band Federation” in different competitions.
As one of the founders, Henriette attends different flute festivals around the world with her flute quintet “5 Across”, where they usually perform new written pieces of music. Their next world premier is coming up in June 2017 at the Norwegian flute festival.
Henriette plays on a 14K Gold Flute from Muramatsu.
